In mathematics and science, a wave is a disturbance that travels through space and time, usually via the transfer of energy. Waves can be mechanical, aural or gravitational.

Waves propagate via air molecules bumping into their neighbours. This transfers energy to these neighbours, which will cause a cascade of collisions between neighbouring molecules.

As with Op Art our waves explore design concerning the interaction between illusion and picture plane, between understanding and seeing.
